nutopics explores futures, utopias and the new.
The purpose of nutopics is to foster a new, more joyfull way of thinking future and a planetary utopic practice.
I believe that humanity needs to understand future as a field of possibilities and hopes rather then a monstrous determinism to be afraid of.
There is no such thing as „the future“ but a multitude of possible futures to look at. It is up to us humans to define what kind of future is desirable and to set our intention to make it real.
That‘s the concept of utopic thinking:
developing attractive narratives of possible futures that motivate people to transform the status quo.
I believe our globalized and hyper-connected times call for new, big, attractive, planetary-scale utopic narratives.
nutopics mission is to:
- Research and promote the topic of utopia and utopic narratives
- Research, develop and share ideas about ways to collectively set intentions and create narratives
- Research the potential of agile methodologies for planetary development processes (e.g. incrementalism, iteration, multi-stakeholder processes – to e.g. global policy making)
